A Merged League, Not a New One

Capcom had originally planned a standalone Asian edition of the Street Fighter League before folding those plans into the existing European league instead, creating Street Fighter League EMEA Asia in the process. The result is a roster pool that mixes players who built their names across separate regional circuits into a single six-team season.

Several names carry storylines into the new format. Three of Team Falcons' four players previously competed together as Kuaishou Gaming in Street Fighter League USA, with Kusanagi the lone new face. NL, DCQ, and Leshar are all making their EMEA Asia debuts after coming up through SFL USA and SFL Japan.

Red Dunes Esports, the new organization co-owned by AngryBird and Big Bird, carries over much of the roster that won the title under Ninjas in Pyjamas, an organization that will not return for this season.

Road to the Finals
