Battle of BC 8

Battle of BC 8 returns to Vancouver as Canada's biggest fighting game event. Widely recognized across the globe as one of the most prestigious premier majors for the Super Smash Bros. franchise, the multiday festival will take place from June 5 through June 7, 2026, at the stunning Vancouver Convention Centre (Canada Place). The event brings together thousands of competitors, creators, and fans right on the downtown waterfront.

While Battle of BC has built its legacy on massive, internationally stacked brackets for both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Ultimate, it has evolved into a true multi-game powerhouse. For traditional fighting game fans, the event features a highly competitive and stacked open bracket for Street Fighter 6, drawing top regional killers and traveling pros looking to claim victory on one of Canada's biggest main stages.

Premier Tournament Lineup

Alongside the flagship Super Smash Bros. events and Street Fighter 6, the competitive roster includes heavy-hitting staples and modern favorites. Attendees will clash in TEKKEN 8, Rivals 2, and Riot's tag-team fighter, 2XKO.

More Than a Tournament

Battle of BC is designed to be a full destination experience. Attendees can take a break from the brackets to enjoy "Play the City" interactive side events, the event's first-ever Trading Card Game open play zones, casual free-play stations, artist alleys, and the Canadian Esports & Gaming Industry Summit (CEGIS). 19+ attendees can also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the event series at the legendary Boat of BC cruise and Sunday Birthday Bash.

Registration

Registration and bracket sign-ups are managed through Start.gg and the official Battle of BC website. Competitors can secure their spots across various tiers, with Ultra Late registration closing on June 1, 2026. General admission passes are available online or at the venue for spectators wishing to experience the live commentators, the vendor floor, and the electrifying main stage.
