About This Event
The Esports World Cup brings its Street Fighter 6 championship to Paris for 2026, relocating the tournament from its previous home in Riyadh as the wider EWC festival moves to the French capital for a seven-week run. The Street Fighter 6 bracket takes the stage at the Allianz Vault, a dedicated 1v1 arena inside Paris Expo Porte de Versailles built specifically for the intimate, close-quarters format that fighting games and chess events use at EWC.
Format and Field
Thirty-two players qualified through the Street Fighter League World Championship, Capcom Cup 12, DreamHack Birmingham, DreamHack Atlanta, Evo Japan, Combo Breaker, Evo 2026, and a six-player Last Chance Qualifier compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool, with $250,000 going to the eventual champion. The event runs as a GSL-style group stage, splitting the field into four groups of eight in double-elimination brackets. The top four finishers from each group advance to the single-elimination Stage 2 bracket that decides the champion.
Registration and Venue
The Street Fighter 6 tournament is a closed invitational field with no open registration. The event runs alongside Tekken 8 and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as part of EWC's fighting game block, with the venue shift to Paris marking a new chapter for the festival after its prior years in Riyadh.
