About This Event
Frostfire 2027 stands as Ottawa's largest annual collegiate and community LAN festival, organized by Carleton University Esports and returning to campus after its previous edition drew 275 competitors. Serving as a winter anchor for the Eastern Ontario gaming calendar, the weekend event features an open double-elimination Street Fighter 6 singles bracket alongside a broader multi-genre tournament schedule.
While the tournament operates outside the official Capcom Pro Tour circuit, it draws high-level regional talent from across Ontario and Quebec competing for provincial seeding prestige and top-eight payouts. The dedicated fighting game hub inside Fenn Lounge runs standard competitive sets from opening pools through the final bracket.
Multi-Game Lineup & LAN Brackets
Spanning 13 competitive titles across fighting games, platform fighters, and team-based PC esports, the FGC floor also hosts singles brackets for Tekken 8 alongside Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Beyond the traditional fighting game setups, the venue's bring-your-own-computer LAN section runs simultaneous team tournaments for Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant.
